What's your cancellation policy?

I ask for 48 hour notice before a cancellation. There is a $80 cancellation fee, but that is voided if we are able to reschedule you for later in the week.

Do you offer sessions in-person or online?

Therapy sessions are available online only to patients in Wisconsin. Coaching is offered online for clients across the United States and internationally.

What can I expect on my first visit?

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what matters most to you, and what you’re hoping for from our time together. We’ll begin to outline a collaborative plan, and you’ll also have space to ask questions and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

What issues do you specialize in treating?

I’ve been a therapist since 2009 and bring a wide range of experience to my work. I specialize in trauma and PTSD, with an understanding that trauma and adversity impact everyone. I also work with depression, anxiety, disordered eating patterns, impulsive behaviors, grief, and relationship challenges.

What treatment modalities do you use?

I draw from several approaches, most often combining Internal Family Systems (IFS or parts work), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic therapy. Together, these approaches support emotional understanding, nervous system regulation, and the processing of difficult experiences. Treatment is always tailored to your individual needs.

What are your credentials, qualifications, and affiliations?

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and hold a Masters in Social Work - Mental Health.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy is a clinical service that supports healing from emotional pain, trauma, and mental health concerns. It may include diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions and is provided by a licensed clinician. I offer therapy to clients located in Wisconsin.

Coaching is a non-clinical service that supports personal growth. Coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions and focuses on reflection, goal-setting, and follow-through. Coaching is available virtually throughout the United States and internationally.

If coaching alone doesn’t feel like the right fit, I will help you connect with a licensed therapist in your state, either alongside or instead of coaching. Coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions and is not a substitute for therapy.

What is your approach to working with clients?

I’m deeply passionate about this work and bring that care into every therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy is about more than getting through the day. It’s about understanding what’s underneath old patterns so you can experience true liberation and thrive. Liberation is the truest version of you- not held back by things that have happened to you. The name Roots and Wings reflects my belief that healing happens by getting to the root, not by trying to change who you are. I’m also committed to my own continued growth and self-reflection, because I believe a therapist’s ongoing work is part of what makes therapy meaningful.
